August 14, 2007 was a banner day for NextDiesel biodiesel as the staff officially opened the doors to begin production of ASTM-certified commercial B100 biodiesel fuel. Hundreds of friends, family, media and several of Michigan’s top dignitaries, including Governor Jennifer Granholm and U.S. Senators Debbie Stabenow and Carl Levin, State Congressman Tim Walberg, State Senators Cameron Brown and Gilda Jacobs, Representative Dudley Spade and Adrian Mayor Gary McDowell participated in the Grand Opening festivities and ribbon cutting ceremony.
