Our ties to the community, the region and the State of Michigan are strong. We work closely with the Michigan Economic Development Corporation, the City of Adrian and Lenawee County to help ensure that we are a significant partner in helping the Region and State of Michigan to become leaders within the renewable energy industry.
The State of Michigan has made a strong commitment to renewable fuels including biodiesel. At the first meeting of the legislatively created Michigan Renewable Fuels Commission on November 30, 2006, Governor Jennifer Granholm personally appeared to urge the Commission to “think big” and to make recommendations which will assure that “Michigan will lead the nation” in production, research and the development of renewable fuels.
